Knitting for Peace is released on audio!

Yes, Knitting for Peace is now on audio! Beautifully read by author Betty Christiansen. Now you can listen to these extraordinary stories of knitters who are determined to use their skills to bring help, joy, love and comfort to people at home and in countries around the world.

“We knitters work a powerful magic when we knit for others,” says Betty Christiansen. “I discovered that knitting was helping people all over the world in amazing ways. I hope you will be as inspired by these groups and as filled with hope as I have been while researching and writing this book.”

It was a great pleasure to work with Betty on this lovely recording. We at Knitting Out Loud are thrilled to be able to bring these wonderful stories to you on audio.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this audiobook will be donated to help women survivors of war at www.womenforwomen.org
.

Enjoy and be inspired!
-Kathy

While I haven't read this book I do know that knitting for others and in particular gifts of comfort such as prayer shawls or hats and socks for those less fortunate carry with them a little piece of the knitter too.

Always a pleasure to see the fiber events you attend ~ those socks in the last post are something else! You live the life of Riley, Kathy - LOL

It is very rewarding to produce an audiobook on charitable acts, especially fiber related ones. Knitters are generous and kindhearted people.

Glad you like the spin-in photos, Claudia! These events are a treat to attend.

So great that this is in audio format. The greatest joy of knitting is that you cannot possibly keep everything you knit and it's so wonderful to share with others who need a helping hand.

This is great! Betty is such a delight to meet in person, and I'm glad she now has a connection in Maine, my home state. I love this book, and I've learned a lot about how these organizations help. How terrific it's now available in audio!
