Her books influenced an entire generation of cooks.I was introduced to Elizabeth David many years ago by an English-Ukranian family I worked for in Boston. I instantly fell in love. Her books are so beautifully written that I read them like novels while commuting on the subway. It is a dream come true to bring one of my favorite writers to audio.

Thank you! Elizabeth David tells a funny story on this audiobook of being asked by the locals on a small Greek island to make them a Christmas plum pudding. This was in the 1940's and she had to stone the raisins by hand.
I've always wanted to go to Greece, everyone seems to love it.
